President Bonnie Rushlow welcomes attendees with her presidential address. Her special guest is Dan Dunn of Dan Dunns Paintjam, in an exciting, high-energy, improvisational painting performance. Watch in amazement, as he "jams" with paint onstage, soloing and improvising with his brushes much like a musician running through scales and riffs with seemingly effortless ease, to reveal the final image at the last minute.

Charles Falco of the University of Arizona will discuss the fascinating findings of the research that he conducted on this subject when working with renowned artist David Hockney. The theories pro-posed by Falco and Hockney have been covered as a BBC special, and a segment on CBS 60 Minutes.

Faith Ringgold began her artistic career more than 35 years ago as a painter. Today, she is best known for her painted story quilts --- art that combines painting, quilted fabric, and storytelling. Her first book, Tar Beach, was a Caldecott Honor Book and winner of the Coretta Scott King Award for Illustration, among numerous other honors. In this Super Session, sponsored by Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, Ringgold will talk about her own artistic journey and offer her views on how to nurture creative talent in teenagers.
